Meet the Team

Yarnton Preschool is lucky to have very experienced staff who have worked here for many years.  They provide a stable environment for the children and continually work to improve their professional development to best serve the children.

Gemma Foster – Manager / Safeguarding Lead
I joined Yarnton Pre-school September 2019. I have 10 years’ experience of working with children. I have worked in nurseries, Pre-schools and also primary schools. I have a 12 year old son and enjoy spending time with him. We love to go on bike rides together or I like to support my son with his passion for roller hockey. My favourite colour is yellow and love butterflies. In my spare time I enjoy to go to classes for martial arts to music.

Rosamund Marvin – Deputy Manager / Deputy Safeguarding Lead
I have been working in the Early Years sector for 19 years.
I am qualified to Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development and have attended many other courses, to further my understanding and learning of child development. These include Promoting Positive Behaviour; Developing Sustained Shared Thinking in Children; various courses and projects to support Speech, Language and Communication, as well as various SEN and Safeguarding courses.
I am passionate about supporting every child to develop to the best of their ability, by following their interests and delighting in their achievements. I believe that warm and meaningful communication is the key to all learning; conversation and well read stories are a great start!
Some of my interests are: walking, gardening and admiring Nature (clouds and trees in particular!); photography; cooking and making preserves; listening to a wide range of music; Arts and Crafts (woodwork, carving and modelling and wishing I was better at drawing…); steam trains (gosh) and I love trying out new and simple experiments (often involving bicarbonate of soda).
I am a firm believer in learning something new every day!
As a mother of 3 and grandmother to 4, there is nothing I like better than to spend time with my family.
